Day to Day Itinerary:

You will meet your guide who will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe.

After a leisurely breakfast, head to Kampala city for a tour of Uganda’s capital city. Experience this vibrant metropolis and learn more about the city that is at the heart of Uganda’s rapid urbanisation and growth. Visit the iconic buildings and hills that make up this city of over 3 million residents. Highlights include the Gadhaffi Mosque, down town taxi park and hill top views. You will thereafter be transferred to Jinja.

Spend this day at leisure with a vast of optional activities to consider doing. You can opt to have a village cultural tour where you get to learn about the traditional aspects of agriculture, history and African society. After your lunch, you can also enjoy a sunset boat cruise that goes to the source of the Nile.

Today we will embark on the journey to Murchison Falls NP. We will drive for 3 hours before we stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where we will go rhino tracking on foot. At the sanctuary we will earn more about the efforts to reintroduce rhinos to Uganda and the remarkable conservation efforts that have yielded results as the number of rhinos has increased.

After tracking we will stop for lunch then resume our journey to Murchison Falls where we will arrive in the evening hours.

We will start off with a boat cruise on rive Nile. The cruise will take us to the bottom of the Murchison falls. Along the way expect to see crocodiles, hippopotami, otters, monitor lizards, elephants and other aquatic mammals and birds.

At the bottom disembark from the boat and start a wilderness hike up to the top of Murchison Falls. This hike is one of the secret hikes as it reveals the falls from different angles.

Return to the lodge for lunch and a leisurely swim.

In the late afternoon, embark on a game drive through eh endless savannah grasslands on Murchison falls NP. On this game drive you will look out for big mammals including elephants, giraffe, leopard, lion, buffalo, antelope and many more. We will also look out for birds and .return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Set off at 06:30am for Queen Elizabeth National Park via the equator crossing for photos. Drive through the scenic rural countryside making a stopover for lunch in Mbarara town. Thereafter you will proceed further southwards, eventually starting the descent into the rift valley where panoramic views of the Albertine rift valley await you. Arrive and check in at your lodge.

Arise in time for early breakfast, thereafter proceed for early morning big game viewing as you drive along the circuits. Look out for elephants, lions, buffaloes, kobs, warthogs, waterbucks and other small mammals as you drive through the savannah grasslands of the park. You will also see the numerous crater lakes of the area as well as numerous bird species that inhabit this scenic park. Break for lunch at the Mweya Peninsula also known as “the beautiful place”.

In the afternoon, head for a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel. Enjoy the beautiful sights along the lake shores teeming with "loser “buffalo herds, hippos and crocodiles as well as numerous birds including pink backed pelicans, plovers, Kingfishers and many other birds species that reside in this avian paradise. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After a leisurely breakfast, embark on the journey through Queen Elizabeth as you make your way to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. This is arguably one of Uganda’s most scenic route as the journey takes you through savannah grasslands and tropical rainforests.

Stop for lunch and a game drive in the Ishasha sector where with a little luck, you will get to see the elusive tree climbing lions of Ishasha sector. Thereafter you will embark on the final leg of the journey to Bwindi where you will arrive in the late evening hours.

Arise early for breakfast, head to the park office at 08:00am for briefing. Thereafter, the rangers will walk you down the narrow forest paths through thick undergrowth, with the bird sounds in the background as you search for the gorilla families.

Tracking can take between 2-6 hours. However, once found the experience of watching these incredible primates in their natural habitat is well worth every ounce of energy expended on the tiring forest trails. It is most advisable for trackers to be in good physical condition before embarking on the trails. Get in close proximity with the gorillas as you quietly observe these pacific primates in their natural habitat. Watch the gorillas eat, groom and play. After, the days’ activities return to the lodge for dinner and the night’s stay.

You will be driven for about 2.5 hours to Lake Bunyonyi. Arrive in time for your lunch. Thereafter spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing and unwinding of the past experiences of your safari.

After your hearty breakfast, you will be transferred to Kigali city. Arrive in time for your late lunch. Afterwards you will visit the genocide monument. Here you will listen to stories of how the genocide events form the past in Rwanda. Thereafter also visit the craft market in Kigali town.

This marks the end of your safari. You will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight. This will depend on your flight time.
