    Day 1: Drive to Fort Portal <\/span><\/i><\/div>

    Awaken early to start on your 6 -7 hour drive to the beautiful town of Fort Portal. You will arrive in the late afternoon hours and settle in at the lodge for the night\u2019s stay.

    Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking and optional Bigodi Swamp Walk<\/span><\/i><\/div>

    Enjoy Chimpanzee trekking on this day. You could spend 2 \u2013 4 hours in search of these fascinating cousins of ours. Once found, spend an hour After your lunch, opt for a walk in the swamp in search of different endemic birds of Bigodi.<\/p>

    Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth Park for Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel<\/span><\/i><\/div>

    Transfer to Queen Elizabeth for your boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. See aquatic wildlife like hippos, Crocodiles and many bird species along the channel.<\/p>

    Day 4: Drive via Ishasha sector to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest<\/span><\/i><\/div>

    After breakfast, depart for Bwindi going through the Ishasha sector famous for tree climbing lions. Search for these big cats for a few hours before proceeding to Bwindi Forest.<\/p>

    Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest<\/span><\/i><\/div>

    On this 8 Days Gorilla Trekking, Chimpanzee Trekking & Golden Monkey Trekking Safari, we\u2019ll trek in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to the biggest number of mountain gorillas among all national parks. We\u2019ll head to the park office before 08:00am for a briefing before heading to the depth of the jungle for what is a most unique wilderness experience.\u00a0 Thereafter, the rangers will walk you down the narrow forest paths through thick undergrowth. Once found, the rangers will brief us through the dos and don\u2019ts before making any contact with the mountain gorillas.<\/span><\/p>

    We\u2019ll spend up to 1 hour watching the gorillas in their natural habitat. We\u2019ll get in proximity with the gorillas as you quietly observe them play, eat, forage, groom, sleep and sometimes watch them mate. This once in a lifetime experience will give us insights of the life of these gorillas and social dynamics of the gorilla families. Gorilla watching also gives us a chance to observe the sticking similarities between the apes with humans inhabit and social norms. Watch out for the juveniles who are always excited about our presence.<\/span><\/p>

    After trekking, we’ll break for lunch in the forest before embarking on the hike back to the starting point. Head back to the lodge to unwind.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

    Day 6: Transfer to Lake Mutanda<\/span><\/i><\/div>

    After a leisurely breakfast, we\u2019ll transfer to Lake Mutanda Resort. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. After lunch enjoy a ride on the lake in a dugout canoe. Return to the lodge in time for the sunset.<\/span><\/p>

    Day 6: Golden Monkey Trekking & Return to Lake Mutanda<\/span><\/i><\/div>

    Have an early breakfast and then transfer to Mgahinga National Park for Golden Monkey trekking. Spend upto 2- 4 hours in search for these rare Monkey species. Once found, you\u2019ll have 1 hour with these fascinating primates. Afterwards, hike back to the offices where the guide will transfer you back to the lodge for lunch.<\/p>

    The rest of the afternoon\/evening can be used at leisure as you enjoy beautiful views of the lake.<\/p>

    Day 7: Flight Transfer to Entebbe<\/span><\/i><\/div>

    After breakfast, the guide will take you to the airfield for your transfer flight to Entebbe Airport. Depending on your departure flight back home, opt to be driven to a hotel or nearby caf\u00e9 for relaxation as you wait for your flight.<\/p>
