Upon pick up from Entebbe, embark on the 5/6 hour drive to the Kibale Forest via the beautiful city of Fort Portal where we’ll arrive in time for lunch and settle into the lodge. We’ll have an option to visit the crater lakes of the area or Bigodi Swamp depending on the weather.

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Start with an early breakfast, then meet your ranger guide at 6:30 am ready to enter the forest . Afterwards, walk down the forest paths with a tracker/ranger in search of these chimpanzees.

Once found, enjoy up to four hours watching the chimpanzees. This exclusive experience will afford you the chance to watch the chimpanzees breastfeeding, copulating, hunting, patrolling and with luck you might also see them building their nests for the night. This also gives you a better chance to take professional photos of the chimps.

After a long day’s adventure, return to the lodge for the night’s stay.

Arise for a hearty breakfast and then embark on a 3 hour drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will arrive in time for your lunch. Afterwards, enjoy a siesta before embarking on the evening game drive through the savannah grasslands of the park. Enjoy the search for the big cats like the lions and leopards during the sunset hours.

After an event filled day, return to the lodge for the night’s stay.

After breakfast, we’ll transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Arrive in the late afternoon hours of the day. Unwind in the peaceful forest side lodge as you prepare for the action filled day of gorilla trekking.

After an early breakfast, head to the park office at 06:30 am to start off. Thereafter, walk into the depth of the jungle for what is arguably one of the most unique wilderness experiences. Follow the footsteps of your ranger/guide as you make your way through thick undergrowth with the bird sounds in the background as you search for the gorilla families.

Habituation can take up to 6 – 10 hours. However, once found the experience of watching these incredible primates in their natural habitat is well worth every ounce of energy expended on the tiring forest trails. With the 4 hours with them, observe the gorillas as they feed, breastfeed, mate and compare many other striking behaviour similarities between us and them. It is most advisable for trekkers to be in good physical condition before embarking on the trails.

After a leisurely breakfast, transfer to the idyllic Lake Bunyonyi. Arrive in time for lunch and afterwards enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Spend the morning at your leisure. In the mid morning, we will start our excursion to Joshua’s Island where we are in for a treat and a feel of the local life in Lake Bunyonyi.

We will learn to make a rolex and see how traditional millet beer is made when we visit the local bars and homestead of the village.

Option of hiking, quad biking and swimming in the lake are also on offer.

After breakfast, drive and enjoy a scenic drive to Lake Mburo National Park. Look out for the road side activity as you make your way to this park. Arrive in time to enjoy an evening game drive. On this drive, we’ll look out for zebras, giraffes, buffalos, eland and other big and small game that reside in this park.

We will return to the lodge for the night’s stay after an adventurous day.

After breakfast, enjoy a walking safari before embarking on the 3-4 hour drive back to Entebbe Airport where the safari ends.
