Once in a lifetime experience
Incredible safari experience! We flew in a 10 seater plane to get from entebbe to queen Elizabeth and that was so fun in itself! Then we stayed at very very nice lodges and the land cruisers we were in were very comfortable. Moses was our driver and did an incredible job getting us around to see all the animals and would sit there as long as we wanted to watch (I especially loved watching all the elephants). We also did a boat cruise on the channel in Queen Elizabeth and I think that was my favorite part. Overall, Daudi planned an amazing, once in a life time trip. I've now done two safari trips with Buutu Safaris, and on this round, Daudi and his team put together the safari of a lifetime - there was something for everyone to enjoy. Incredible customized safari with Buutu Safaris
Our 8-day customized safari with Buutu Safaris in Uganda and Tanzania was an absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. The planning process was smooth and thoughtful, and the itinerary perfectly balanced the gorilla habituation experience in Uganda with witnessing the Great Migration in Tanzania. All transportation between locations was seamless, and every lodge and hotel was comfortable and well chosen. The guides were knowledgeable and professional, and everything ran effortlessly, allowing us to fully enjoy the experience. This trip exceeded our expectations in every way. A warm and absolute recommendation
We traveled with Buutu Safaris for 15 days from Dec 26 - Jan 09. Our Uganda roundtrip was kind of unusual, because we traveled the opposite direction that most travelers do. The reason was that our son works as a volunteer in Masaka and we first visited him over Christmas, then let Buutu pick us up. Buutu also organized the transfer from Entebbe to Masaka with another driver. Our safari was exclusively for our family, 4 adults, we had Moses as exclusive guide and traveled in a 4WD Toyota Hiace with an extensible roof, so you can enjoy wildlife from the safety of your car without any restrictions. The safari included Lake Mburo, Lake Bunyonyi, Bwindi, Queen Elizabeth NP, Kibale Forest, Murchison Falls NP, Ziwa Sanctuary, Jinja and finally a quick city-tour through Kampala. We decided to go for the budget option, but with private bath. All the lodges were selected carefully by Buutu, and most of them can only be described as luxurious. We had the full-board option booked and the food was always very good, enough and made from both local and international recipes depending on the lodge. Moses, our guide, is a great person and we warmly recommend him to you. He is knowledgeable, caring, stays calm and focused even if problems may arise and really builds a personal relationship with the guests. He was very good in spotting animals in the National Parks, he and our older son made up a great spotting team, getting us Giraffes, Elephants, Buffaloes, Warthogs, all types of antelopes and even lions and a leopard (latter is quite unusual in Lake Mburo NP). The whole trip more than exceeded our expectations. We had great wildlife encounters, met interesting people, enjoyed the food and the activities. Buutu overdelivered and that for a more than affordable price. When booking, we were a bit hesitant, because Buutu does not have European representation and we had to send the safari price via WISE to their Ugandan account, but all went well. The itinerary price included pretty much everything: travel and guide, accommodation, full board, entry to National Parks, even the gorilla- and chimp-tracking. There were no organizational or financial surprises and apart from some minor itinerary changes it was all as agreed in the itinerary (the changes are unavoidable in African countries, this is independent of the tour operator you choose). At the end of the tour, when we arrived in Jinja, where Buutu's head offices are located, our trip became even more a bit like a family holiday, because Lincoln, the manager at Buutu, and Moses wife joined us on the boat-cruise to the sources of the river Nile and for a sundowner in the Jinja Sailing Club. Lincoln even offered us a little present, as sign of his appreciation and introduced us to his colleagues Daudi and Paul (not sure, if I understood his name correctly). Once in a lifetime INCREDIBLE experience!
I’ve traveled to 40+ countries and this was by far my favorite trip I’ve ever done. The people were amazing, the accommodations were unique and comfortable, and the trip itself was an extremely well planned adventure of a lifetime. Daudi is the best, his safari drivers were the nicest and extremely knowledgeable, and everyone we encountered along the way were incredible. If you’re looking to go on safari, hike through the stunning Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, spend time up close and personal with a gorilla family, and/or experience Kenya and Uganda with the most fun and accommodating group of people, don’t hesitate. Whoa, this safari group was beyond fantastic! This is not your average safari. This is a group of genuinely kind, fun and personable guides that want you to have the best week of your life. My friends and I spent about 5 days in Kenya with them and then continued on to Uganda to go gorilla trekking and white water rafting on the Nile we loved them so much! Great Migration and Gorilla Trekking Safari
We had the most amazing safari experience with Buutu Safaris and Follow the Fro tours. Our safari started in Masai Mara where we followed the migration. Wildebeest, zebra, the big five and so many other animals. The ballon safari was a highlight here too. We ended in Uganda where we had the greatest of safari moments trekking gorillas and exploring Lake Bunyonyi. The organization the accommodation and everything was first class. The Ultimate African Safari Gorillas & The Great Migration
AMAZING TRIP 10/10 recommend. Giraffes, elephants, cheetahs, gorillas!!! The only thing better than the animals were Daudi, Meta, Moses, Josh and the rest of the fantastic team that made everything possible. Can’t wait to come back and do it again!
