Herman was born in Iganga around lake Victoria. Herman moved to Mabira forest where he learnt about the ecosystem first hand. Herman is the lead birding guide with a vast experience guiding all over Uganda over the last 9 years. 

Herman started off as a sight guide in Mabira the biggest rainforests where he mastered entomology, botany and ornithology. Herman mastered the bird calls and identification in Mabira where he also assisted different researchers like Prof Najma Daharani of Kenyatta University, Professor Eric Sande and Dr Kityo Godfrey of Makerere University and  Dr Malcolm Wilson among others.

Herman has a zeal of learning and is patient. Hermans is home in tropical rainforests because of the richness of life in forests.
