Day to day itinerary details
Fly from Arusha to Serengeti NP. Upon pick up, your guide will take you to your lodge for lunch. Afterwards, enjoy game sightings over the Serengeti sunset. Return to the lodge to settle in time for dinner and overnight.
We’ll start the day after a leisurely breakfast. We’ll head to the river crossings. During larger crossings, thick dust clouds billow into the air as the herds gather on the riverbank, hesitating before plunging into the river. As the animals crash through the murky Mara River, water sprays high, creating a spectacular scene. The atmosphere is filled with the sounds of braying and grunting wildebeest, making the event both a visual and auditory spectacle. With a bit of luck, we may even witness the excitement of a predator in action, as massive Nile Crocodiles strike at unsuspecting animals as they swim through the river’s muddy depths. We’ll also explore other parts of the grasslands in search of more wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and predators like leopards and lions. We'll also get the chance to visit the Masai village to learn more about the traditional life in the Serengeti.
After an early breakfast, we depart the Serengeti and enjoy a scenic drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey offers sweeping views of the savannah and highlands, with a chance to spot wildlife along the way. Upon arrival, we descend into the Ngorongoro Crater. The crater floor, a natural enclosure teeming with wildlife, offers a high concentration of animals including elephants, lions, hyenas, zebras, buffalo, and the rare black rhino. We’ll spend the day looking for game in this unique ecosystem with a picnic lunch in the crater. Later in the afternoon, we ascend from the crater and proceed to your lodge for the evening.
After breakfast and a relaxed morning at the lodge, we’ll start our drive back to Arusha. The journey takes you through scenic highlands, rural villages, and bustling roadside markets offering a final glimpse into everyday Tanzanian life. We’ll arrive in Arusha in the afternoon, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or transferred to the airport for our departure flight.
