Daudi says he was “born” on safari because, when he was growing up, there was great biodiversity outside protected areas. Wildlife encounters were a daily occurrence in his hometown Jinja. Daudi has fond memories of chasing guinea fowls in the shrubs, encountering hippopotamus in river Nile and marvelling at movement of the now critically endangered pangolins. Daudi’s early life was influenced by the inspiring photography of his uncle who worked for Uganda Wildlife Authority.
Daudi studied Economics at Makerere University, Uganda and Finance and Investment at University of Exeter, UK. Daudi worked in London before returning to Uganda for eternal sunshine and for what is probably the happiest job on earth – exploring the wilderness with people at their happiest times.
Daudi has travelled widely guiding safaris all over southern Africa. His expeditions take him through Namibia, Rwanda, Botswana, Zambia, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Kenya and DR Congo. Safari will take Daudi from Bwindi to the Masai Mara and from Victoria Falls to the Okavango Delta.
Safaris are a way of reconnecting to earth and understanding the mysteries of nature. Safaris are also the greatest way of making friends. And safaris for Daudi are a miracle, an interesting millennia old story so Daudi taken to compiling the safari narratives in his book. Daudi’s favourite safari is the gorilla habituation safari here one spends the entire day in Bwindi trekking a family of gorillas.
Daudi is most grateful for the collective conservation efforts of previous generations and hopes safaris will continue to provide unique platform for creating green economies of the future.
Daudi has a deep-rooted commitment to redefining luxury travel premised on sustainably exploring the rich ecosystems and offering opportunities for Africans to fight poverty through safari.
