Fly for 1 hour from Entebbe to Kisoro/Kihihi. This scenic flight is a highlight that will spoil you with the exquisite sights of the lakes and rivers, valleys and hills, swamps and mountains that make up the beautiful mosaic that is Uganda” The Pearl of Africa” Upon arrival, your guide will drive you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park where you will settle in to your lodge as you prepare for your next days’ trek.

Meals: Lunch & Dinner

After an early breakfast, head to the park office at 08:00am for a briefing. Thereafter, walk into the depth of the jungle for what is arguably one of the most unique wilderness experiences. Walk down the narrow forest paths and make your way through thick undergrowth with the bird sounds in the background as you search for the gorilla families. Trekking can take between 2-6 hours. However, once found the experience of watching these incredible primates in their natural habitat is well worth every ounce of energy expended on the tiring forest trails. It is most advisable for trekkers to be in good physical condition before embarking on the trails. Get in close proximity with the gorillas as you watch the gorillas eat, groom and play. Return to the lodge for the night.

After breakfast, again head to the park office at 08:00am for another briefing. This time we’ll look for another gorilla family. Follow the footsteps of your ranger in this impenetrable forest. Walk down the narrow forest paths and make your way through thick undergrowth as you search for the other gorilla families. Once you see them, spend up to an hour with them, watching how they feed, play, and also how they communicate with each other. Return to the lodge for the night.

After a leisurely breakfast embark on a scenic 2 hour drive to Lake Bunyonyi, one of Uganda’s best kept secrets. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch by our beautiful lodge overlooking what is arguably one of Uganda’s most beautiful destinations. Spend the rest of the day enjoying the sights as we await the treat of glorious sunsets over the lake.

After  breakfast, transfer back to Kisoro/Kihihi where you’ll board for your transfer flight back to Entebbe. You’ll arrive in the mid-morning hours in time to rest a bit as you wait for your flight to your next destination.
