Start your 6 Day Rafting & Uganda Gorilla Safari by challenging the mighty river Nile before heading south of Uganda to search for rare Mountain Gorillas. We’ll finish off in one of Uganda’s exquisite islands, lake Bunyonyi.

Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up from Entebbe & Transfer to Jinja

Your driver will pick you up and drive for 3 hours to Jinja. Settle in at your hotel as you prepare for the next day’s adventure activity on the Nile. Optional activities to consider are Bungee Jumping, Quad biking, Source of the Nile boat cruise, Jinja city walk.

Day 2: Full White Water Rafting Day

Arise breakfast, have a briefing before the adventure. Listen to the do’s and don’ts that will help you challenge the mighty river Nile. Afterwards, return to the starting point for lunch. Unwind the day’s events as you prepare for the next day’s journey.

Day 3: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park For Evening Game Drive

Arise breakfast, embark on a 7 – 8 hour drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Stop over at the Equator crossing for photos at the centre of the earth before proceeding to Queen Elizabeth Park, where we’ll arrive in the evening in time to head out for a game drive through the savannah grasslands.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After breakfast, embark on a journey through the rolling hills of western Uganda as you make your way to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Enjoy scenic views of this part of the country before the final leg of the journey to Bwindi where you will arrive in the late evening hours.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early breakfast, head to the park office at 08:00 am for a briefing. Thereafter, the rangers will walk you down the narrow forest paths through thick undergrowth, with the bird sounds in the background as you search for the gorilla families. Trekking can take between 2-6 hours. However, once found the experience of watching these incredible primates in their natural habitat is well worth every ounce of energy expended on the tiring forest trails. It is most advisable for trekkers to be in good physical condition before embarking on the trails. Get in close proximity with the gorillas as you quietly observe these pacific primates in their natural habitat. Watch the Gorillas eat, groom and play. After spending an hour with the mountain gorillas, we’ll break for a picnic lunch in the forest. Thereafter, we’ll transfer to the lake Bunyonyi lodge for the night’s stay after an action packed day.

Day 6: Drive to Entebbe

After breakfast, proceed to Entebbe where we will arrive in the evening.
