Itinerary
After an early breakfast and briefing, your driver will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Kihihi. Meet another Buutu Safaris ground guide who will then transfer you to the lodge in Bwindi where you will spend the afternoon leisurely. If time permits, we’ll visit a Batwa pygmy village to experience the ancient ways of life of early forest inhabitants.
Meals: Lunch & Dinner
We’ll trek in Bwindi, home to the largest number of gorillas. We’ll head to the park office at 08:00am for a briefing before we head into the depth of the jungle for what is a most unique wilderness experience. Thereafter, the rangers will walk us down the narrow forest paths through thick tropical undergrowth as we search for the gorilla families.
Trekking can take between 2-6 hours. However, once found, the experience of watching these incredible primates in their natural habitat is well worth every ounce of energy expended on the tiring forest trails. It is most advisable for trekkers to be in good physical condition before embarking on the trails.
Get in proximity with the gorillas as you quietly observe the gorillas in their natural habitat. Watch the gorillas eat, groom and play. Packed lunch is offered during the day.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
After breakfast, your driver/guide will transfer you to the nearby airfield for your flight back to Entebbe. Arrive and check in at your hotel for the night.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our Tanzania guide. We’ll transfer to the hotel where the guide will give a briefing. The briefing aims to provide an explanation for this safari experience, language, and customs of Tanzania, what you will be discovering and learning, and why specific activities were chosen.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
After breakfast, embark on the journey to the Serengeti. Fly over what is arguably Africa’s most charming landscape. Upon arrival transfer to our camp.
We’ll spend the days following the action of the herds as they. Expect to see the intense action as predators make the most of a bountiful season. Expect to see lions, leopards, elephants and millions of wildebeest on their journey in eternal search of green grass.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro crater. The crater has the highest animal density in Africa, so it offers some of the greatest animal encounters. Arrive in time for lunch at the scenic Ngorongoro crater viewpoint. Spend two nights in this crater enjoying game drives. Expect to see rhinos, elephants, lions, ostriches, among others.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro crater for an action-packed game drive. Watch out for more lions, impala and gigantic elephants. In addition, you will also see the black rhino and jackals among several other animals. Transfer to Lake Manyara for a flight to Arusha where the safari will come to an end.
